Weekly Gaming News – April 18th

Every week I will be bringing you news going on and around the gaming community.

The Secret World

The Secret World has released a new Patch 1.6.2, with it they are bringing about a new Lair Raid.

SWTOR

The Old Republic has released a new expansion entitled “Rise of the Hutt Cartel”. This is an expansion, meaning you will have to spend some hard earned money if you feel like picking it up. For subscribers this expansion will only cost you $10 bucks but non-subscribers are looking at paying $20.

This expansion brings about a lot of nice feature sets, such as a new level cap and a new planet to explore.

Defiance

I have started to play Defiance, the new MMO from creators Trion Worlds, who you may know them from a little known game called Rift. This MMO coincides with the TV show that begins on Syfy tonight, April 15th. The game is available for Xbox, PS3, and PC.

Defiance has also released a new Patch 1.010.

I will have first impressions game play regarding this game, once i get to play it a little more, so stay tuned.

Age of Wushu

Age of Wushu has just gone live, it is a free to play Martial Arts Sandbox MMO. I have not played this game myself but have heard good things about it.

Castle of Illusion

Sega has confirmed the old Genesis classic Castle of Illusion is getting an HD remake and will be out this summer 2013 for Xbox, PS3, and PC.

Firefall Beta

Firefall is a new MMO 3rd person shooter from company Red 5. Mark your calendars for July 5th when they will be starting open beta of their Sci-fi shooter. It is a free to play title with a free to play business model, so if your get hooked during the open beta you can continue to play once it releases.

Darkfall Unholy Wars

Darkfall is a new MMO from Adventurine and is set many generations ahead of the older MMO by the same name Darkfall Online. Unholy Wars is a subscription based MMO that requires a monthly fee and purchase price. This MMO is meant to be heavily focused on PVP and clan support.
